The Heritage Trail is a well-established, independent historical website that was created many years ago to encourage others to explore the vast array of British heritage. Over time, it has seen several reincarnations but remains an informative non-commercial site today. Our aim in developing this site is to ultimately provide the most complete guide to Britain’s heritage available on the internet.  All sites listed (with or without a hyperlink) have been visited by us personally, but it may take a little time for a particular ‘favourite’ to appear.

Showcasing a diverse range of historical sites and monuments, all personally visited by us, The Heritage Trail will hopefully provide an excellent starting point for researching projects, holidays or tours.

Since we began our website, we have also focused on encouraging individuals to visit international locations.
